So named after the Empress of France whose husband Napoleon III lies in nearby Farnborough Abbey mausoleum.
Trafgic calming- my experience was that most passing cars would aim to go centrally between the cushions.

The railway tunnel is narrow and so apparently in order to get cyclists out of the way this slipway invites them onto the pavement for a prompt dismount and walk along the narrow footpath.
Hampshire's mean-spirited implication that "Partnership" doesn't work anywhere else.
